Hardware misaligned
Quote from franko553 on July 17, 2018, 10:02 pmI got my Maker Edition Oboo today and the LCD screen is not aligned with the window of the front panel.
Either the panel is about 1 millimeter too far left or the screen is about 1 millimeter too far right.
This is causing the far right few columns of pixels on the screen to not be visible and a line of light is bleeding around the left side of the screen.
Is this user serviceable/correctable?
I do not see an obvious way to open the case to try to re-align.

Quote from ihermit2 on July 18, 2018, 4:28 pmso this might be serviceable by us but very risky. It's an LCD and if you crack it that's that. It's not bonded to the front plate just the same adhesive as holds the front plate on. getting it reattached with better alignment is not guaranteed by anything though. Also it has one of those fragile ribbon cables.
All that being said I went ahead and tried. It's not better. the case behind the panel does not have the clearance. So a fix will require widening/moving the window.

Is it possible to open the device and move the display? Because so it's really ugly.

Quote from Zheng Han on July 20, 2018, 9:29 amThanks for brining this to our attention. The misalignment is due to the front panel itself. This will be fixed for the mass production. Meanwhile we can try to have a software fix where we set a virtual boundary to the screen and make sure no content is displayed out side of the boundary

Quote from htjohnson on July 20, 2018, 12:32 pmI think we need a mechanical solution to align the screen and close the front panel as light from the screen is "leaking" outside of the enclosure.

What do you mean by light is leaking out from the enclosure? Is it after you opened it up?
